Profile of the Institution
AISHABAI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION, Byculla, Mumbai is an Unaided Muslim minority institution (Status granted by Government of Maharashtra, vide letter no. STC.2004/(45/04) CE.3, affiliated to SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai.
It covers and discharges its functions in accordance with the rules and regulations which are implemented by Govt. of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Public Universities Act 2016 and amended from time to time, and instructions/orders issued by the office of the Joint Director, higher Education, and the SNDT Women’s University.
Aishabai College of Education does not fall within the definition of “Public Authority” under Sec.2 (h) of the RTI Act 2005. However, Aishabai College of Education believes in accountability and transparency and is accountable for providing any information to the Public Authorities.
